Cheap Chic? Yes Please!

Seasons change, fashion trends change, and so does your personal style. Clothes you bought last year might start piling up in the back of your closet because you lost the desire to wear them or regret buying some of them in the first place... happens to me all the time.
I give away bags and bags of clothes each year because of this, and although I feel great for donating them to someone who needs clothing way more than I do, I can’t help but think of all the money I wasted on compulsive and not so smart purchases.
If you love to change up your wardrobe but don’t want to spend a ton of money on something that’s probably going to be out of style next month, Forever21 is my go to store for finding cheap chic. Not only is it up to date with the trends that are in style, they also offer amazing everyday wear.
Let’s be honest, money is tight these days especially for college students like myself, so unfortunately a budget is necessary. Although Prada and Marc Jacobs will always have a special place in my heart and I’d kill to own their latest collection, it’s just not going to happen.
Forever21 is updating their website and stores merchandise all the time so there’s never a shortage of options. But, being a Forever21 regular I have learned that you can’t wait long to buy something you want because they sell out fast.
Other great places for budget friendly fashion finds that will please your wallet and are still style savvy are H&M and Target. Their clothes are trendy and surprisingly well made. I have always been really happy with my purchases at those 3 stores and I can’t seem to keep myself away from them!
You can sometimes luck out and find something good at different places, but don’t let the lure of the price tag trick you into thinking you’ve struck gold. If you are shopping at other lower end stores, always pay attention to fabrics and look out for cheap looking materials and construction. Just because you paid $20 for a dress doesn’t mean it has to look like you did. You can wear inexpensive clothing without anyone knowing as long as you pay attention to the quality.
Luckily, with stores like Forever21 you don’t have to freeze your credit card in a block of ice to stop you from giving into your craving for some shopping. The prices, quality, and designs are like a dream come true for a fashionista on a budget.
