We all know that the decision to buy a real designer item can be difficult since they put a nice dent in your bank account. There are pieces in certain situations when it’s worth buying the real thing, and others will most likely get limited use or you’ll get sick of easily.
You should splurge on the real thing if it is a classic, more simple style that can be worn with almost everything. It should be something you know you’ll wear forever and won’t get bored with.
You shouldn’t shell out big bucks for trendier styles that you’ll only wear a few times and would stop wearing when it’s no longer “in style” or its trend comes to an end. Also, if you want a design that has limited options to be worn with because of its color for example, you’re better off buying a cheaper version since its price is not worth the restricted use.
If you love a trendy designer style but don’t like to use fakes, look for a similar item that doesn’t pose as being authentic, and instead find a cheaper look alike that is inspired by the designer.
Think about how often you would use whatever it is you’re considering buying and decide if the price tag is worth it.
